FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ORGANIZATIONS

AI is entering your agency from two directions. I help your clinicians make sense of both.

Your clients are turning to AI for emotional support in ways that show up in therapy. At the same time, your agency is adopting tools with AI built in, and your clinicians are using AI on their own. It is a lot to absorb, and most agencies are working hard to figure out what all of it means. This is where I help.

WHY NOW

The clinician side is moving fast.

AI scribes and note tools are being adopted across behavioral health quickly, often before there is guidance for staff or a clear position on client data and clinical accuracy. Your clinicians feel it first. They are asked to use tools they have not been trained on, they sit with clients who bring AI into the room, and they are navigating their own use at the same time. Getting ahead of this while it is still a training question, before it becomes a compliance one, is far easier than catching up later.

WHY ME

A clinician and a technologist.

I am a social worker and family therapist, and I spent more than fifteen years as a Chief Technology Officer. That combination is unusual and gives me a unique perspective. I can sit with your clinical team and talk about clients bringing AI into sessions and staff running AI scribes on those same sessions, because I have worked in both worlds. I built the AI Awareness Arc to address both.

I teach this in continuing education and at national conferences and universities, including Rutgers, Penn State and Ohio State. I write about it as a Psychology Today columnist, and I have trained clinical staff at organizations including Catholic Charities.

“You are the best guest speaker I have had in all my years of teaching.”

WHAT YOUR TEAM WALKS AWAY WITH

A plan, not just a talk.

Your staff leave with tools they can use, not only ideas. The AI Awareness Arc Clinical Kit gives your practice:

Clinical Technology Policy

For deciding what tools to bring in, how to monitor them, and when to retire them.

AI and Technology Use Agreement

Client-facing consent that covers AI and everything else touching client data.

AI Use Clinical Assessment Tool with Intake Screener

A six-question intake screener and a full assessment tool for opening the conversation and reading a client’s AI use across the three risk areas.

AI Relational Patterns Conversation Guide

A clinical conversation guide that uses a client’s AI interactions as a doorway into the work, plus the AI Rehearsal Room where clients can build relational skills when the stakes are zero.

When AI Use Warrants a Stronger Response

How to respond in session when AI use disrupts the therapeutic process, along with vulnerability profiles

Self-Connection Treatment Framework

The Self-Connection framework for when AI use has become concerning, focused on rebuilding the client’s connection to themselves rather than policing the behavior.

WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER

Four ways in, from a single session to full engagement.

Full Staff Training

Three hours, CE-eligible. The complete framework: the mechanics behind AI’s pull, how to assess client AI use, how to respond in session, and how your clinicians can think about their own use. This is the flagship.

In-Service Session

60-90 minutes. A focused version for a staff meeting or grand rounds, when you want to orient the team without a half-day commitment.

Clinical Kit, Practice License

The operational layer that keeps the framework running after the training ends: the policy, consent, screener, and client tools above, plus a 30-minute implementation call. Licensing is for a full year and includes all research and framework updates for free.
$597 for up to 10 clinicians               $897 for up to 25 clinicians

Consulting

For agencies that want help turning the templates into their own policy, tailored to your compliance requirements and state rules. The deepest engagement, built on the first three.

FOR CRISIS AND 988 TEAMS

If you run a crisis line…

Crisis and 988 work raises AI questions of its own, from how people use AI before and between contacts to how staff document under pressure. I built a version of this training for crisis workers with Ohio State’s 988 Lifeline program, and I can tailor it to your team.

“He answered each question with empathy, validation, and specifically-tailored suggestions/ techniques in an effort to help each and every person. I can’t possibly recommend this enough.”

– Tracy W.

MY TEACHING APPROACH

Engaging, interactive, and passionate.

Every session is built to be engaging, and my passion for helping people is obvious. I translate how AI actually works into plain language, regardless of your level of familiarity with AI and technology. I always include breaks throughout my courses to address questions and provide additional insights. In the courses, I conduct a real demonstration with AI, so attendees see for themselves what their clients are experiencing instead of hearing about it in the abstract. Attendees who described themselves as AI skeptics have said it was the first time the topic made sense to them clinically.

“Jeremy is understanding and compassionate and a great example of his own craft. He is trustworthy and easy to learn from.”

Let’s talk about what fits your agency.

Start with a conversation.

The best first step is a short conversation about what your clinicians are running into. Training is usually the natural place to begin, but the goal of the call is just to figure out what your agency actually needs.
